The purpose of the Denbigh High School Past Students Association is to unite past students in purposeful service, mentorship and community engagement; support the growth and success of current students; and preserve the school’s legacy by blending the past with the present through sustained involvement, empowerment initiatives and collaborative development.

Membership is available to anyone who was once a student at Denbigh High School, as well as persons afforded honorary membership.

Yes. The DHS PSA membership fee is JMD $1,500.00 / USD $10.00 per year, subjected to ratification of the board.

Official PSA membership connects you more closely with the Association and gives you access to member benefits, opportunities to participate in PSA activities and governance, the ability to run for Executive Team positions, and the right to vote in PSA Executive Team elections. A current paid Annual PSA Membership also unlocks Full DHS PSAN access. Voting and candidacy remain subject to the Association’s applicable eligibility rules.

The Association organizes a broad range of activities including reunions, fundraising events, school-support initiatives, social activities, meetings, community outreach and other events that bring past students together. The Association also supports scholarships for current Denbigh High School students.

The Association supports current students through scholarships, educational supplies, donations, mentorship, welfare assistance, school improvement projects and other initiatives designed to support student development and success.

The Association is governed by an elected Executive Team operating in accordance with the Association’s Constitution and By-Laws. Committees may also be established as needed to support specific activities, projects and areas of work.

Association meetings are held annually and as needed to address Association business, projects, activities and emerging priorities.

Past students who wish to volunteer or participate in committees should contact the Association to express their interest and complete the relevant application form. Opportunities may be available based on the Association’s current projects, events, committees and operational needs.

The Association raises funds through annual membership fees, fundraising events, donations, sponsorships and special fundraising campaigns or projects. These funds help support Association activities, student assistance, school-support initiatives and other approved programmes.

Decisions are made by the Executive Team in accordance with the Association’s Constitution and By-Laws. Where appropriate, matters may also be discussed with or referred to the wider membership. The Association also consults with the Head of the School Administration on matters that affect Denbigh High School, current students or school-based initiatives.

Yes. The Association works closely with the Denbigh High School administration on scholarships, student-support initiatives, school improvement projects, events and other activities that benefit the school community. The Association also consults with the school administration when planning initiatives that directly affect the school or its students.

Past students can support the Association through annual membership fees, donations, sponsorship of events or projects, scholarships, student-support initiatives and in-kind contributions such as goods, equipment or professional services. Contributions can be directed toward activities that strengthen the Association, support current students and benefit Denbigh High School.

Yes. The Association encourages past students and professionals to support current students and younger past students through mentorship, career guidance, professional advice and skills-sharing opportunities as these programmes are organized.

The Association recognizes outstanding past students through awards, public features, special events, social media recognition, news profiles and other opportunities to highlight their achievements and contributions to Denbigh High School, the Association, their professions and the wider community.

The Association’s long-term goals include strengthening DHS PSA, increasing past-student engagement, supporting Denbigh High School and current students, expanding scholarships and mentorship opportunities, preserving the school’s legacy, and becoming financially viable.

Past students can contact the Association and submit the idea in writing or through the relevant proposal or application process. The Executive Team will review the proposal and, where the initiative affects Denbigh High School or current students, consult with the school administration as appropriate.
